Approximately 95% of all back pain is mechanical, and Chiropractors offer a mechanical solution to a mechanical problem. A Chiropractic adjustment is a hands on technique used to restore proper joint mechanics and correct the spinal subluxation. This helps to decrease pain and increase the passive motion of the joint. Chiropractic treatment, and in particular spinal adjustments, have been the subject of government reports and multi-disciplinary studies conducted over many years. The studies have demonstrated Chiropractic care to be a highly effective treatment for spinal conditions including general pain, loss of mobility, headaches and other related symptoms. Chiropractic care also focuses on improving overall wellness. Irritated or subluxated vertebral joints may obstruct the normal neural flow of information between the brain and the body. Nerves exit the brain, travel down the spinal cord and exit the spinal cord near spinal joints. Spinal nerves travel to every part of the body including muscles and organs. This relationship between the spinal joints and the nerves may cause symptoms far removed from the spine. Thus removing spinal joint subluxations and the neural interference that subluxations cause can improve your general sense of well being, increase spinal joint mobility and decrease joint pain. As a result most patients feel better with Chiropractic care. |

My husband and I were in an automobile accident in March 2004. Since that time we have tried several types of treatments to alleviate the pain. But by chance or by fate we met Susan Rutherford, and I thank the Gods we did. Her compassion for people who are suffering fuels the efforts that she puts into curing all who come her way. She is not a typical health care professional. She doesn't treat you as a dollar sign or push the bodies through on an assembly line. She has spent many hours finding out where the pain comes from and many more trying to fix the pain. We are grateful for her being there when we needed her most. I wish her many years of success, and I wish there were more people with her compassion and skill. Thank you! Brenda |
